Union Minister Ramdas Athawale Unveils World Buddhist Federation Logo

Kathmandu. Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India and Chief Patron of the World Buddhist Federation, Ramdas Athawale, has unveiled the official logo of the Federation.

At a special ceremony held recently in New Delhi, he unveiled the Federation's logo and stated that organizations based on Buddhist philosophy are playing an important role in promoting peace, compassion, tolerance, and humanity in the world. He mentioned that in the current global context where conflict, intolerance, violence, and social division are creating challenges, the message of peace and non-violence of Lord Buddha has become even more relevant.

Athawale praised the efforts of the World Buddhist Federation in bringing together people from different countries and communities on a common platform, expressing confidence that such initiatives will strengthen international cooperation and create an environment for working towards human welfare without discrimination of caste, religion, language, or nationality.

The event was attended by Dr. Parvinder Singh, President of the World Buddhist Federation-North America, Colonel Josh, and representatives of Buddhist communities from various countries, social workers, and distinguished individuals.

Dr. Parvinder Singh, President of the Federation, expressed gratitude to Minister of State Athawale and all the guests for participating in the logo unveiling ceremony, stating that the Federation is committed to promoting the values of equality, social service, compassion, and peaceful coexistence. He informed that global public awareness about the relevance of Buddhist philosophy will be enhanced, and humanitarian service programs will be continued.

The logo unveiled at the ceremony will now be used as the official identity for various international programs and activities of the Federation, the organizers stated. It is believed that the logo represents the Federation's commitment to peace, unity, service, and human welfare.

Speakers at the ceremony emphasized the need for greater cooperation among Buddhist organizations and social organizations worldwide to promote world peace and address humanitarian challenges.
