Man Arrested with Large Quantity of 'Polyad' Drug in Lalitpur

Lalitpur. Police have arrested one person with a large quantity of 'Polyad' drug from the Nakhhu area of Lalitpur. According to the District Police Complex Lalitpur, a 28-year-old youth has been taken into custody from Nakhhu Phulbari Marg.

The arrested person has been identified as 28-year-old Tirtha Bahadur Thokar, a resident of Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur district, currently residing in Nakhhu, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-25.

According to Gautam Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the District Police Complex Lalitpur, based on a secret tip-off that drugs were being sold and distributed in the area, a team deployed in plain clothes from Satdobato Police Circle arrested him around 7:30 PM on the evening of Shrawan 3.

Police recovered 2 kg 793 grams of a drug resembling polyad, along with plastic, and a digital scale used for weighing from Thokar's possession.

The District Police Complex Lalitpur has extended the remand of the arrested Thokar by 5 days from the court and informed that the necessary investigation has been initiated.
