Film Development Board Launches Horse Riding Training for Nepali Actors

The Film Development Board, which works to develop the skills of artists in the Nepali film industry, has started horse riding training for actors. The week-long training is being organized by the Film Development Board on the occasion of the 'Year of Skill Enhancement for Filmmakers-2082'.

Horse riding has been considered an essential skill for making historical, mythological, action, and adventure films. The board organized the training with the aim of making actors and stunt artists safe, disciplined, and professional.

In the first phase of the training, actors including Bijay Baral, Nazir Hussain, Kavita Nepali, Bishal Pahadi, Avon Upreti, Dinesh Khadka, Sarita Bharti, Arun Bahadur Syangtan (Lama), Shridev Bhattarai, Gopal Dhakal (Chhande) are learning.

The horse riding training is being held at White House Agro Villa located in Nikosera, Bhaktapur. Suresh Thakuri and his team are providing the training. Throughout the training period, participants are being provided with necessary basic skills training, including coordination with horses, practical exercises, and safety standards.

Board Chairman Dinesh DC stated that he believes the horse riding training will enhance the production quality of the film industry, as well as increase the safety, professionalism, and self-reliance of artists and technicians.
