Actress Sushmita Explains Her 'KC' Surname Origin

Kathmandu. Actress Sushmita has opened up about her surname and legal identity. She stated in a Facebook post that the surname KC was obtained through her son Anmol.

 She obtained citizenship through her son, actor Anmol KC, after completing the necessary legal procedures and criteria as per the prevailing laws of Nepal. She stated that her legal and official identity 'KC' has been established according to the same legal process.

She said, 'According to the prevailing laws of Nepal, after fulfilling the necessary legal procedures and criteria, a mother can obtain citizenship from her own son. I also obtained citizenship according to the same legal process, and my legal and official identity is KC.'

Stating that her son and identity are the most valuable assets in her life, she expressed pride in her son Anmol KC. She further said, 'KC is a precious identity that my son has given me. For me, this is not just a surname, it is a symbol of love, respect, trust, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and son. I will remain KC until my last breath.'

Connecting this matter to her legal rights, existence, and self-respect, she stated that this is not just a debate about a surname but a matter of a mother's pride.

Sushmita has been in the news for the past few days due to her 'surname'. After her marriage to Bhuwan ended, some people on social media had questioned why her surname was 'KC'.
