Comedian Kedar Ghimire in America for Daughter's Health, Wife Clarifies

Kathmandu. Nepali art sector's famous comedian Kedar Ghimire 'Magne Buda' is currently in America. There is widespread discussion in the market that the reason for his long stay in America is the process for his permanent residency permit, i.e., 'Green Card'.

However, Kedar himself has not given any official information on this matter so far. As there is no possibility of him returning to Nepal immediately, another artist has been included in his place in the much-awaited new film 'Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2' by the Deepak-Dipa group, and shooting has been advanced.

While rumors of Kedar applying for an American Green Card are circulating, his wife and artist Sita Devi Timalsina has denied them. Speaking to media persons recently at a program organized in Kathmandu, she revealed that the main reason for her husband staying in America for a long time is their daughter's health condition. According to her, Kedar is staying in America because their daughter fell ill and requires care.

Responding to a journalist's question about how much she misses her husband, Sita said, 'Of course, I miss him. But one should not neglect their duties just because they miss someone. I have clarified today, our daughter is in America. Since our daughter's health is not cooperating, he is staying to support her. I am looking after our son here, and he is looking after our daughter there.'

Ghimire had left for America immediately after the screening of his last film 'Jerry On Top'. It is rumored in film circles that he is staying there to complete the legal process which requires a long stay in America to obtain a Green Card, and due to this, he has also left many films offered from Nepal.
