Medalists Depart for Bangkok for ITTF Table Tennis Tournament

Kathmandu. Medal winners of the seventh ITTF Table Tennis Competition and 42nd National Table Tennis Competition departed for Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.

Mahesh Shrestha, Diksha Dahal, and Ranoj Thaku, gold medalists in the team event of the Entertainment Table Tennis (ETT) group's ETT Table Tennis, and Alex Maharjan, silver medalist of the 42nd National Table Tennis, have departed for Thailand.

ETT had announced that it would provide a five-day 'package' tour of Bangkok to the gold medal-winning team members of ETT Table Tennis and the gold and silver medalists of the 42nd National Table Tennis. As per the announcement, the players have been provided with the said package. Gold medalist of the 42nd National Table Tennis, Sanyog Kapali, is currently in Seoul, South Korea for foreign training for the 20th Asian Games, hence only Alex has gone to Bangkok.

Players were bid farewell at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday by ETT Chairman Suman Khadgi, sixth edition ETT Table Tennis winner Rajendra Vajracharya, Anita Maharjan, Mukesh Maharjan, among others.

During the farewell, Chairman Khadgi expressed his belief that this opportunity would be fruitful for the players to relax in a different environment.
