Fake Bhutanese refugee case: Testimony of 3 defendants ongoing

KATHMANDU, June 2: The testimony of three defendants in the fake Bhutanese refugee case is ongoing. The defendants include former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, Bhutanese refugee leader Teknath Rijal and a resident of Lalitpur Haribhakta Maharjan.

The testimony is being taken in the bench of Justice Prem Prasad Neupane. Among the 30 defendants in the fake refugee case, 18 have been arrested while 12 are absconding. The testimony of 15 defendants excluding Khand, Rijal and Maharjan has already been taken.
