Simara Airport remains grounded, other Terai airports resume operations

Kathmandu, January 5 — Due to insufficient visibility, flights have not been able to operate at Simara Airport. However, other airports in the Terai region have recently resumed operations.

According to officials from Tribhuvan International Airport, visibility at airports in Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Tumlingtar, Janakpur, and Nepalgunj became sufficient for take-offs and landings by 12:30 PM.

Flights had already resumed at Bhadrapur, Bharatpur, Pokhara, and Surkhet airports by around 11:30 AM.
