Minister Gyawali urges Nepali diaspora to contribute to Nepal's development

Kathmandu –Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali interacted with the members of the Non-Resident Nepali Association and Overseas Nepalese Forum as well as Nepali community residing in Switzerland. 


Minister Gyawali is currently in Geneva in connection with participating in the 40th meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council. 


Present on the occasions were the eminent scholars, professionals, researchers working in the United Nations and various International Organizations based in Geneva and those working in different walks of life, Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva, stated in a press release today. 
The Foreign Minister briefly discussed the long-term development vision of Nepal in physical infrastructure development, economic development and social development with the inclusive agenda. 


Underscoring the importance of the second Nepal Investment Summit to be held in Kathmandu on March 29-30, 2019, the Foreign Minister highlighted a number of measures taken by the Government for creating investment friendly environment in Nepal, including legislative reforms, one-stop service, projects bank and special economic zones, and called upon the Nepali professionals to contribute to Nepal’s development with their knowledge, technological knowhow, and managerial skills. 


The Foreign Minister will attend the inaugural session of the Council today morning. He is scheduled to address the Council on the 26th of February.
