Minister Aryal pledges reforms in revenue and survey system

Kathmandu–Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, has announced to establish at least one revenue office and one survey office in the Kathmandu Valley as a model one in terms of technology within a one month and fifteen days. 


Speaking at a face-to-face programme organised by the Reporters' Club Nepal here today, she pledged to develop all revenues offices inside the Kathmandu Valley and 131 across the country as technology-friendly entities. 
The revenue and survey system needed to be improved to hit misconducts and malpractices in its procedure and the use of technology in service delivery had been focused for the better results. 


High-profile people to junior ones are facing punishment for wrong doings in survey and revenue sector as the government seeks to establish a system with good governance there, according to her. She took a time to give words to bringing those responsible for public land encroachment to justice. 


The government would come up with an act for the proper use of land to increase land productivity, giving priority to the promotion of farmers and protection of Guthi. 
As she said, finding a solution to all issues concerning the freed Kamaiyas and Haliyas within the current fiscal remains as the priority of the government.
