CPN UML Leader Ishwar Pokharel's Wife Mira Pokharel Diagnosed with Cancer

Kathmandu. CPN UML leader Ishwar Pokharel's wife Mira Pokharel (Dhwoju) has cancer. Leader Pokharel informed about his wife Mira having cancer through social media Facebook on Saturday.

He has not disclosed what type of cancer Mira has. Leader Pokharel informed that his wife's cancer treatment is undergoing at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, India, and due to having to be involved in the treatment, he has not been able to be directly involved in domestic activities.

He said: 'I want to inform everyone that I have not been able to be directly involved in domestic activities in the meantime because my wife Mira Pokharel (Dhwoju) has been undergoing cancer treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, India, and I myself have had to be directly involved in that work. I also inform you that my presence and activities will continue to be affected as the treatment process is still ongoing.'

He expressed gratitude to the friends and relatives who contacted him through various means and came to meet him in person even in adversity, wishing his wife a speedy recovery. Mira is also a Constituent Assembly member.
