Civil Activist Devendra Raj Pandey Cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat

Kathmandu. Civil activist Devendra Raj Pandey was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat today. Citizen movement leader Pandey passed away at the age of 87 on Friday evening at his residence in Bishalnagar.

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa, Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Agni Prasad Sapkota, Progressive Democratic Party leader Santosh Pariyar, among other civil society leaders, writers, and activists, reached Aryaghat to pay tribute to Pandey.

CPN leader Shrestha said that Pandey's contribution to the country's democratization and transformation process was invaluable.
