Nepalgunj Customs Office Collects Rs 20.11 Billion Revenue in FY 2082/83

Nepalgunj. Nepalgunj Customs Office has collected revenue of Rs 20 billion 115.5 million in the last fiscal year 2082/83. According to the Chief Customs Officer of the Customs Office, Janardan Poudel, this revenue is Rs 164.5 million less than the previous fiscal year.

"Revenue collection has decreased slightly in the last fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year, but it has decreased less than expected," he said, "Revenue has decreased due to a decrease in the import of petroleum products, a ban on sugar exports by India, etc."

According to the office, revenue of Rs 18 billion 157.233 million was collected in FY 2080/81, while revenue of Rs 20 billion 285.181 million was collected in FY 2081/82.

Imports from Nepalgunj Customs Office include fuel, tractors and trailers, polyethylene granules, rice, food grains, iron, etc. Also, goods and materials such as medicinal herbs are exported.
