Mid-Western University to Host Senate, Convocation, and Anniversary on Ashad 3

Karnali. Mid-Western University is organizing its Senate, Convocation, and Anniversary on Wednesday. The university will hold its 18th Senate, 4th Convocation, and 16th Anniversary ceremony on the same day, Ashad 3.

Coordinator of the sub-committee for communication and publicity of the 4th Convocation Ceremony and University Assembly-2083, Dr. Bishnu Kumar Khadka, informed that 1,928 students on the grace list are going to be conferred degrees at the convocation ceremony. According to him, out of the total students, 455 students have applied to participate in the convocation ceremony.

He stated that the university has decided to confer degrees to 1,222 students at the undergraduate level, 694 students at the postgraduate level, and 12 students at the Darshanacharya level who have obtained academic degrees from seven graduate schools of the university. According to Coordinator Dr. Khadka, 6,370 students have been conferred degrees by the university so far.

The ceremony will be chaired by the Pro-Chancellor of the university and Minister for Education and Sports, Susmit Pokharel, and the chief guest will be former Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University and educationist Kedar Bhakta Mathema, informed Coordinator Dr. Khadka. Vice-Chancellor of MW University, Dr. Narayan Prasad Paudel, stated that the assembly will include proposals for income expenditure, approval of the proposed budget of Rs 1.49 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084, and conferring degrees to students on the grace list.
