Special Court Refuses to Postpone Corruption Case Against Former Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat

Kathmandu. The Special Court has refused to postpone the corruption case related to the construction of Pokhara Regional International Airport against former Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat. 

A joint bench of Special Court judges Hemanta Rawal, Dilliratna Shrestha, and Umesh Koirala refused to postpone it.

'In the present case, when the defendant Ram Sharan Mahat appeared in court with this applicant Roshana Mahat, considering his health condition, an appropriate order could be issued by the court as per the law, and therefore, the present application cannot be postponed as requested. Do as per law,' the order stated. Earlier, the court had sought a health check-up report from the hospital.
