Ministry Dismisses Senior Veterinary Doctor Dr. Navin Upadhyay Ghimire from Civil Service

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment has decided to remove Dr. Navin Upadhyay Ghimire, a senior veterinary doctor from the Department of Animal Services, from civil service by concluding the departmental action process against him.

According to the Ministry, the process related to departmental punishment as per the Civil Service Act, 2049 BS was completed and consultation was sought from the Public Service Commission earlier.

Based on the consultation received from the Commission, it has been decided to implement the departmental punishment of removal from service, as per clause (b) of section 59 of the Civil Service Act, 2049 BS, without being disqualified for future government service.

According to the Ministry, the necessary departmental action against the concerned employee will be completed and information about it will be provided to the Public Service Commission. Meanwhile, according to Ministry sources, departmental action processes are underway against 14 more employees in similar cases, and necessary decisions will be made after the legal process is completed.
