Foreign Minister Khanal Meets CPC International Department Head Liu in Beijing

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who is on a visit to China, held a meeting with Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), in Beijing on Monday.

During the meeting, discussions were held on Nepal-China bilateral relations, matters of mutual interest, and possibilities for further expanding cooperation between the two countries, informed sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Khanal and Liu exchanged views on further strengthening Nepal-China relations and enhancing cooperation in various fields.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has organized a dinner in Beijing for Foreign Minister Khanal. In that meeting with Minister Yi, discussions are expected on various diplomatic, economic, and development cooperation issues between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Khanal's visit to China is seen as an important opportunity to take Nepal-China relations to new heights and further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
