Sudurpaschim Provincial Government Forms Investigation Committee on Kailali Tempo Incident

Kathmandu. The Sudurpaschim Provincial Government has formed an investigation committee regarding the incident where a tempo was pushed off a cliff in Kailali. As per a ministerial decision, the province's Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment formed a five-member investigation committee on Monday under the convenership of Province Forest Director Hemraj Bist. The investigation committee includes Assistant Chief District Officer of Kailali Kiran Joshi, Senior Divisional Forest Officer Janak Padhya, Mechanical Engineer of Transport Management Office Kailali Dhojraj Joshi, and Law Officer Vijayraj Ojha as members. The committee has been tasked to find out the facts and submit a report within seven days. A video of a woman's tempo being pushed off a cliff in Godavari Municipality Ward No. 4 by employees of the Division Forest Office Kailali during an encroachment removal drive on Jestha 29 had gone viral.
