Medical Miracle: Doctors Revive Man Found Frozen in Siberia

Siberia. A recent unbelievable incident in the Yakutia region of Russia confirms just how dangerous the cold can be. Even with the arrival of March, nighttime temperatures here reach as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.

In such lethal freezing conditions, a man nearly turned into a block of ice after falling asleep on a street bench. Doctors managed to revive the man, who had been declared clinically dead, after nearly six hours of tireless effort, in what is now being hailed as a medical miracle.

The unidentified man from the city of Mirny was returning home late at night. Feeling tired on the way, he sat on a roadside bench to rest and fell asleep there.

Due to the extreme cold, his body slowly began to freeze. Passersby spotted him and immediately alerted emergency services.

However, by the time the ambulance arrived, the man had no pulse, his blood pressure was zero, and an ECG machine showed his heart had stopped beating. After all primary resuscitation attempts failed, he was declared 'clinically dead'.

The responsibility of saving the frozen man, who was brought to the hospital, fell to anesthesiologist and resuscitation specialist Dmitry Bosikov. He began the process of very carefully and slowly defrosting the man's body.

Because rapidly warming the body carries the risk of rupturing small blood vessels and causing brain and kidney failure, it took nearly four hours to raise his body temperature from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius. Only then were further modern medical procedures initiated.

After nearly 25 minutes of continuous effort, the first faint sign of a heartbeat appeared on the monitor. His condition stabilized only after 5 hours and 34 minutes of treatment. Doctors kept him in an induced coma for one day.

When he opened his eyes the next day, the doctors were astonished. During examinations, his kidneys and other vital organs were found to be functioning normally.

After a five-day hospital stay and treatment, he returned home fully recovered. This story of a man who cheated death has brought global attention to the harsh cold of Siberia and the skill of its doctors.
