Trump to Hold High-Level Talks with Zelensky and Netanyahu

White House. US President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold separate high-level talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday. The main agendas of these meetings are expected to be the Ukraine war, tensions with Iran, and the security situation in West Asia.

According to a White House official, the Trump-Zelensky meeting will primarily focus on the ongoing peace process between Russia and Ukraine. The official expressed the view that it is time to end the war.

Meanwhile, the Trump-Netanyahu talks will prioritize issues such as the conflict with Iran, progress in Israel-Lebanon talks, and the expansion of the Abraham Accords. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Trump stated that although there are minor differences with Netanyahu on some issues concerning Iran, the alliance between the two countries is very close.

Netanyahu had arrived in Washington for high-level talks on Monday. Before departing, he clarified that the security challenges posed by Iran would be the main subject of his visit, and the purpose of the visit is to strengthen Israel's security and expand the scope of regional peace.

This meeting is the eighth face-to-face bilateral meeting between Trump and Netanyahu since Trump took office for his second term, and this meeting is expected to further confirm the close coordination between Washington and Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Trump immediately refused to accept Zelensky's accusation that Russia provided intelligence to Iran to attack US military bases. He stated that he does not believe such activities were carried out at a high level and informed that he would directly ask Russian President Vladimir Putin about it if necessary.

Zelensky accused Moscow of providing intelligence via satellite to Iran to attack US military outposts and infrastructure in the Gulf region. He also claimed that Russia is preparing to deploy 30,000 soldiers from North Korea to strengthen its military capabilities.

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump reiterated that the US has weakened Iran's military capabilities, commenting that even with Russian assistance, it has not provided a decisive advantage to Tehran. He also stated that necessary information would be collected to ascertain the truth of Zelensky's allegations.

After the White House meetings, Trump, Zelensky, and Netanyahu are also expected to attend the funeral service of the late US Senator Lindsey Graham, held in Washington.
