Three Arrested for Harassing Public in Teku, Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Three people who were causing trouble and behaving indecently in a public place in Teku, Kathmandu have been arrested by the police.

A team dispatched from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, took them into custody.

On the afternoon of Shrawan 9, police received information that गालीगलौज (abusive language) and धाकधम्की (intimidation) were being directed at the public and women in Teku, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12. Based on the information that they were obstructing movement and vehicle traffic, a police team dispatched to the scene, upon questioning, behaved indecently towards the police personnel themselves.

Among those arrested is 42-year-old Ashish Moktan, originally from Raksirang Rural Municipality-8, Makwanpur, and residing in Chapa Narayan-9, Bhaktapur. Similarly, 41-year-old Lokman Moktan, originally from Mahabharat Rural Municipality-6, Kavrepalanchok, and residing in Gokarneshwor-6, Kathmandu, and 44-year-old Mohan Singh Moktan.

All three individuals taken into custody have been sent to Kalimati Police Circle for further investigation and action.
