RPP MP Gyan Bahadur Shahi Criticizes Political Deception in Parliament

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) MP Gyan Bahadur Shahi stated that he has finally realized that assurances and betrayal are considered acceptable in politics. While proposing Saraswati Lama as a candidate for Deputy Speaker in the House of Representatives meeting, MP Shahi said, 'I had read and heard that everything is fair in love and war. Now, I have had the opportunity to understand that assurances and betrayal are fair in politics.'

He made these remarks while hinting at Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane. Shahi mentioned that Lama filed her candidacy for Deputy Speaker on Thursday after receiving assurances from Lamichhane. Later, the Rastriya Swatantra Party decided to support the candidate for Deputy Speaker from the Shram Sanskriti Party. 

He asserted that although the RPP is small in terms of numbers in the House of Representatives, it remains strong in its ideology.
