Six Dead in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Six people have died in separate road accidents in different parts of the country. Two other people were injured in these accidents in Sunsari, Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Makwanpur and Rupandehi.

In Sunsari, the driver died when a pickup with number plate Pra.1-02-002 Cha 4831, coming from Bhantabari towards Laukahi, lost control and met with an accident on the road in Kerabari, Koshi Rural Municipality-8, on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Padam Rai from Rangeli Municipality-3, Morang. Another injured person in the pickup is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Inaruwa.

Similarly, in Saptari, a pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle with number plate Pra 2-01-002 Pa 7720, going from Bodebarsain towards Siraha, on the road in Balan Bihul Rural Municipality-1. The deceased has been identified as 80-year-old Bhalsariya Devi Yadav. She died during treatment at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar after being seriously injured in the collision. Police have taken the motorcycle driver under control.

Likewise, in Siraha, two people died when a bus with number plate Me.1 Kha 2363 and a motorcycle with number plate Ma.Pra 01-005 Pa 3406 collided with each other on the road in Golbazar Municipality-9. The deceased are 15-year-old Naresh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Hathkada, Siraha Municipality-22, and 15-year-old Intiyaj Rain Kawadi from Shahid Municipality-1, Dhanusha, who were on the motorcycle. Naresh Kumar died on the spot while Intiyaj died during treatment at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar on Wednesday night. Another injured person on the motorcycle is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, while police have taken the bus driver under control.

In Dhanusha, a pedestrian also died after being hit by a motorcycle on the road in Kumharhauna, Laxminia Rural Municipality-7. Local 60-year-old Gulpiya Devi Mahara died on Wednesday night after being hit by a motorcycle with number plate Madhesh Pra 02-005 Pa 8773, going from Bhagwatipur towards Laxminia Bazaar. Police stated that she died during treatment at Janakpur Modern Hospital. The search for the motorcycle driver, who fled after the accident, is ongoing.

In Makwanpur, the driver died when a scooter with number plate Ba.Pra 03-004 Pa 7272, going from Buddha Chowk towards Namuna Chowk, lost control and met with an accident on the road in Thanabharyang, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11, on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Sagar Syangtan from Hetauda-10, Anantol. He died during treatment at Hetauda Hospital.

Similarly, in Rupandehi, 25-year-old Rochak Belbase from Butwal-11 died when a scooter with number plate Lu.54 Pa 131 lost control and met with an accident on the road in Devinagar Chauralipath, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11, on Wednesday night. Belbase, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.

Police have stated that necessary investigations are being conducted into all the accidents.
