Maoist Center Breaks 50% Limit on Alternate Central Members

The CPN Maoist Center has decided to remove the existing 50% limit on alternate central committee members. According to the party's current statute, the working committee can have up to 50% alternate members. However, a party leader explained that this limit was broken to maintain balance after party unification and adjustments.

Decision Made in Standing Committee Meeting

The recent Standing Committee meeting concluded that additional alternate members need to be appointed. The party has decided that adjustments in the percentage can be made in the upcoming central committee meeting and statute convention to ensure accountability. Now, if more alternate members are required, the central office will make the decision based on recommendations from provincial coordination offices, according to party leaders.

This move indicates the party's effort to accommodate more members while maintaining organizational flexibility.
