Four killed in Bajhang jeep crash
Chainpur, January 3 — Four people, including three members of the same family, have died in a jeep accident in Bajhang.
The incident occurred on Thursday night when a Bolero jeep with registration number SE 1 JA 843, traveling from Talkot Rural Municipality to the district headquarters Chainpur, crashed near Dhamena. District Police Chief Yubaraj Bhandari confirmed the deaths.
According to Bhandari, three people died at the scene, and one person died while being taken to the hospital for treatment.
The deceased include the jeep driver, 33-year-old Shamsher Malla from Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-1; 72-year-old Jaumati Devi Dhami from Talkot Rural Municipality-4; and her son, 36-year-old Bam Bahadur Dhami, who all died at the scene.
Additionally, six-year-old Akriti Dhami, the granddaughter of Dhami, passed away while being transported to the district hospital in Bajhang, as informed by the Chief District Officer Om Prasad Bhattarai.
