Bhim Rawal alleges Oli's disrespect during UML convention

Kathmandu, January 1 — Former vice-chairman of CPN (UML) Bhim Rawal has strongly criticized UML chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Rawal claimed that during the UML's convention in Chitwan, Oli misused power and authority to ensure his victory in the chairman position, while discriminating against him.

Recalling the events during the party's general convention, Rawal shared at a press conference on Wednesday that Oli used party supporters to stage protests outside his hotel.

"I was staying in a hotel, but they were given alcohol and instructed to protest outside. I requested the Armed Police Force to remove them," Rawal explained.

Rawal further revealed that during the convention, while Oli arranged special accommodations at a luxurious hotel for four leaders junior to him, he himself was only provided with a normal room.

"He pesented himself as a dictator during the convention. Not only did he fail to offer help, but he also personally instructed volunteers to prevent me from entering the convention hall, which was an act of undermining the party's unity," Rawal added.

He mentioned that he was expelled from the party for criticizing Oli's behavior and stance, and that his opposition to Oli's actions was a stand against the wrong practices within the party.
