In pictures: Former Kathmandu Mayor Singh receives final tribute
Kathmandu, December 16 — Former Mayor of Kathmandu, P.L. Singh, has been paid a final tribute at the Nepali Congress party office in Sanepa.
His mortal remains were brought to the party office for the public to offer their respects.
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, and others attended the ceremony to pay tribute.
Singh passed away on Monday morning at his residence in Chaksibari. He was also a former minister.
Singh had been elected as the Mayor of Kathmandu in the 1992 local elections, serving as the head of the then Kathmandu Municipality.
