Harichowk-Yamdi Road Expanded to Four Lanes in Pokhara

Pokhara. The Harichowk-Yamdi road section in Pokhara has been expanded to four lanes. This road, upgraded over four years, has become very attractive after being widened, blacktopped, and line-marked.

This 2.2-kilometer road falls under both the Bhupi Sherchan Highway and the Mid-Hill Highway. Due to the delay in completing the work, locals and those traveling to Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang had to endure significant hardship. On Asar 15, 081 (National Paddy Day), locals protested by planting paddy on the road.

Motidan Construction Service Pvt. Ltd. had received the contract for the upgradation of this road section for 48 crore rupees on Shrawan 14, 079. The work, which was supposed to be completed in two years, was finished this year after the deadline was extended three times.
