Weather Forecast: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, there is an influence of westerly wind and local wind as well as a low-pressure area near the eastern parts of Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated.

Due to this, currently, Koshi Province and the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country are generally cloudy. Madhesh Province has partly cloudy skies, and the remaining Terai regions are mostly clear. Light rain with thunder is occurring in one or two places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the remaining Himalayan and hilly regions, will generally be cloudy. In some places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Madhesh Province, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder. There is a possibility of hot days in the Terai regions of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, the entire country will generally be cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder in some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is also a possibility of dust storms in a few places in the Terai and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces, and in the remaining Terai regions.
