Time for economic revolution: CM Gurung

Pokhara– Chief Minister of Gandaki State, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said time has come for economic revolution. Political revolution has been over in the country, so economic revolution is imperative.

The economic revolution was imperative for the country's development and prosperity, he argued at a programme organized by Gandaki State main committee on the occasion of the Republic Day today.

United efforts from all sides were equally important for the implementation of constitution, which was one of the significant achievements of the republic.

Federal democracy is another feature of the present republic, he reminded. According to the Chief Minister, our culture and work style must be changed to suit the spirit of the federalism.

Collective commitment to end acute corruption and irregularities is prerequisite to thrive the republic system, he underscored.

On the occasion, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law in the State, Hari Bahadur Chuman, paid tribute to all those who lost their lives in the movements waged for republic and pointed the need of unity among all to ensure national prosperity.

Even a morning rally was organized before the programme. Many civil employees were given awards for their best performance in the State.
