Rapti Rural Municipality Declared Fully Institutional Delivery Service Equipped

 Dang. Rapti Rural Municipality of Dang has been declared a fully institutional delivery service-equipped municipality. The municipality was declared fully institutional delivery service-equipped on Sunday after fulfilling all the necessary indicators for the sustainability of institutional delivery.

Health Minister of Lumbini Province Government Ramji Prasad Ghimire declared the municipality as a delivery service-equipped municipality. On that occasion, he emphasized the need to make delivery services quality-oriented.

According to the determined protocol, the rate of pregnant women undergoing four antenatal check-ups is 99.6 percent, the rate of three postnatal check-ups is 99.3 percent, the rate of delivery services by skilled health workers is one hundred percent, and the rate of home deliveries is zero, after which the municipality was declared a delivery service-equipped municipality, said Municipality Chairman Prakash Bista.

Rapti Rural Municipality had been declaring various wards as fully institutional delivery wards from previous years. After all the wards were completed, the municipality itself was declared.
