Drinking water facility to 150 households

Myagdi– Thaibang and Tallo Daduwa villages of Mangala Municipality in the district have been benefited with drinking water facility. 


Two drinking water projects launched by West Nepal Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Programme benefitted some 150 households here. 


The Municipality mayor Satprasad Roka said Panchase project was materialized at the cost of Rs 7.2 million, while Dhobikhola project at Rs 4.7 million. The projects were accomplished with the assistance of Finnish government, Nepal government and grants from the Municipality, he added. 


The locals had also donated labour worth Rs 2.1 million for the projects. 
A woman from Tallo Daduwa Shreekala Armaja elated happiness and shared that the taps near homes have not only provided drinking water but also saved time. "It's convenient as well. It has helped improve sanitation in the villages," she added.
