Shalikram Ghimire Elected Lumbini Province President of Rastriya Swatantra Party

Butwal. Shalikram Ghimire has been elected as the Lumbini Province President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). 

Since no one secured a clear majority among the 6 candidates competing for the post of president, preparations were made for a re-election between Shalikram and Gopal, who received the most votes. In the end, Shalikram was elected by consensus. However, the Election Commission is yet to formally announce the election.

Previously, in the competition among 6 candidates for the post of president, Rupandehi's Shalikram Ghimire received the highest 199 votes, followed by Arghakhanchi's Gopal Ghimire with 87 votes.

Similarly, Rupandehi's Ganesh Paudel received 84 votes, Banke's Dr. Rajkumar Subedi received 80, Rupandehi's Manju Bhusal received 71, and Rupandehi's Madhu Prasad Aryal received 19 votes. A total of 552 votes were cast in the election held last night.
