Armed Police Assistant Head Constable Dies in Bardiya Road Accident

Bardiya. An armed police assistant head constable died in a road accident in Lalpur of Gulariya Municipality-11, Bardiya, on Saturday morning. One armed police constable and the truck driver were injured in the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Assistant Head Constable Tilak Kandel, approximately 35 years old, residing in Motipur, Basgadhi Municipality-5, Bardiya. Kandel, who was working at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ganeshpur, Bardiya, died during treatment.

This morning, while en route to the Gulariya Customs Office with 2 buffaloes and 1 calf that were being illegally taken to India, the vehicle was hit by truck number Ba.Pra.03-001 Kha 1412 coming from Nepalgunj towards Gulariya at Lalpur on the Hulaki road section.

Armed Police Constable Deepak Kumar Jang Shah, approximately 35 years old, from Kakoura, Basgadhi Municipality-8, Bardiya, was injured in the accident. His condition is moderate, and after initial treatment, he has been referred to Nepalgunj Medical College Kohalpur, Banke for further treatment.

Similarly, the truck driver, Niranjan Darji, approximately 40 years old, residing in Samari, Bagmati Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur, was also injured. He is undergoing treatment at Gulariya District Hospital.
