Dr Sainju elected head of Nepa Rastriya Party
Kathmandu - The Nepa Rastriya Party's 2nd General Convention has unanimously elected Dr Bijay Sainju as the party's chair.
The convention nominated 43 central members under Sainju's leadership. The party – established in February, 2008 – is driven with the ideology of 'People's Nationalism'.
The rest of the Central Committee members will be nominated later. The party is planning to increase the number of party's office – bearers from the existing size of 13. The CC meeting will nominate the officials.
Dr Sainju pledged to strengthen the party's organization nationwide through social works and political programmes by keeping the 'service to the people' at the centre. The party, which boycotted the local level polls, plans to participate in the provincial and central elections.
