Nepali Congress Kapilvastu Joint Secretary Wajih Arshad Resigns

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Kapilvastu Joint Secretary Wajih Arshad has resigned from his post, stating he will not even be a general member of the party. Wajih submitted his resignation to the District President on Monday, stating that the leadership is trying to displace old workers and has resigned from even the general membership.

Wajih, who has been active in Congress for about three decades, mentioned in his resignation letter that he resigned due to dissatisfaction with the working style of the district leadership. Arshad, in the resignation letter submitted to the President, commented that the background of the current district leadership is 'rebel and defiant' and accused the leadership of displacing old and honest workers of the party.

'When I raised my voice against irregularities within the party, I was surrounded from all sides. I have decided to resign as I cannot give respect to honest workers while holding a position.'
