Three members of a single family killed in landslide

Surkhet - At least three persons were reported dead after a monsoon – triggered landslide swept away a house here in Surkhet. 

Three members of a single family were killed after the landslide buried the house at Sindurkhola village of Badakholi area in Gurbhakot municipality – 6 in eastern part of the district headquarters of Birendranagar. 

The deceased have been identified as Gumansing Budha, 83, grandsons Bikram Budha, 14, and Saran Budha, 12, of Gurbhakot – 6. The landslide struck at 12 midnight, according to Area Police Office, Chinchule. Their bodies were retrieved from under the rubble this morning. 

Meanwhile, landslide at Harre – Kohalpur section of Ratna highway has obstructed vehicular movement.
