Former PM Bhattarai Calls Sunsari Communal Riot Grave Concern

Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has called the communal riot in Devangunj, Sunsari, an extremely serious and worrying incident. 

Sharing a post on social media, he expressed deep concern over the incident in which one youth lost his life and 22 people, including security personnel, were seriously injured.

He urged everyone to prevent such undesirable and harmful incidents in this scientific age, changing geopolitics, and at a time when the federal democratic republic is just taking root in Nepal. He expressed the view that the newly elected government formed after the Genji rebellion, all political forces, and the general public must exercise high wisdom and restraint.

He stated that no one has the right to keep the country trapped in a whirlpool of underdevelopment and instability under any pretext. 'The coming days can be even more challenging,' Bhattarai said, 'History will not forgive any of us.'
