Narayani Hospital Doctors Resign En Masse After Attack

Kathmandu. All doctors at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj have submitted their collective resignation. The doctors, who protested the vandalism and assault on doctors at the hospital last Saturday, have submitted their collective resignation. 

Similarly, the hospital's emergency service has also been shut down. The doctors have demanded the resignation of the Chief District Officer and the District Police Chief Superintendent, among other demands. Their demand is that those who attacked the doctors should be legally punished. Similarly, OPD service has been shut down across the country. Patients who went to receive services have been affected due to the doctors' protest. 

The Nepal Medical Association had announced that all services except emergency services in hospitals across the country would be closed today (Tuesday) in protest of the heinous attack on doctors and health workers working at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj and the mistreatment at the Parsa District Administration Office. 

The association had informed through a press release on Monday that all services except emergency services in government, non-government, and private hospitals across the country would be halted today, Tuesday.
