India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Expresses Concern Over Delhi Protests

New Delhi. India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, speaking to the media on Wednesday, described the ongoing protests in Delhi as a matter of serious concern. He commented that it is very unfortunate that some people are trying to use the country's students and youth as political tools to fulfill their political interests.

Defense Minister Singh said, 'Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government is fully committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the youth and for their welfare. It is the responsibility of all of us to listen to every concern of the students and resolve them.' He stated that the aware youth of India understand such misleading attempts well. 'I am fully confident that the aware, mature, and discerning youth of India understand such misleading attempts well,' Defense Minister Singh added, 'They will choose the path of progress, development, and nation-building.'

He clarified that the government is fully committed to ensuring that no injustice is done to students and youth in any way. After the NEET exam paper leak, the Aam Aadmi Party has come out in protest at Jantar Mantar. Protesters are demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. On this demand, Sonam Wangchuk has also been on a hunger strike since June 28.

Earlier, on July 20, protesters had called for a Parliament March. During that time, the police had to resort to lathi-charge to control the situation. Opposition parties are strongly criticizing the police's action.
