Actress Kelli Hottle Dies at 18 in Car Accident

New York. Actress Kelli Hottle of the movie 'Godzilla vs. Kong' died in a car accident on Tuesday at the age of 18.

The news of her death was made public by her father Joshua Hottle through a Facebook livestream.

According to Variety, her father confirmed to TMG that his daughter died in a car accident in Maryland and that he was traveling from Texas to collect the body. Texas School for the Deaf, where Hottle was studying as a student, also issued a statement on social media confirming this sad news. Hottle and her father were both deaf.

The post from Texas School for the Deaf said, 'We are extremely saddened to share the heartbreaking news that TSD senior student Kelli Hottle tragically passed away yesterday in a car accident in Frederick, Maryland. Our condolences are with Kelli's family, friends, classmates, and all who knew and loved her during this difficult time. We have very limited information at this time and urge everyone to respect the privacy of Kelli's family and refrain from speculating about the circumstances of the accident.'

Hottle is known for her role as Jia in the 2021 film 'Godzilla vs. Kong' and the 2024 film 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire'. In the film, she played an orphan deaf girl who has a deep connection with Kong and is taken under the protection of Dr. Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall).

Hottle was also nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Young Artist for 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire'.
