Anupam Kher to Voice Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'

New Delhi. Senior actor Anupam Kher will lend his voice to the character of Jatayu in Bollywood director Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited film 'Ramayana'.

This ends the long-standing discussion that Amitabh Bachchan would voice Jatayu. Information that Anupam Kher has been confirmed as the voice of Jatayu was made public through the official social media of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival.

According to the information released, Anupam Kher will give his voice for Jatayu in the film. Although there was talk of Amitabh Bachchan voicing this character earlier, it has finally been confirmed that Anupam Kher will play the role. Director Nitesh Tiwari is said to have planned to make the battle between Jatayu and Ravana one of the most emotional and impactful scenes of the film. Anupam Kher's voice is expected to bring this character to life.

'Ramayana' will feature Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play the role of Mother Sita. Kannada actor Yash will be in the role of Ravana, while Ravi Dubey will be seen in the role of Lakshman.

Also, Sunny Deol will play the role of Hanuman. The makers have decided to release this film in two parts. The first part will be released on the occasion of Diwali this year, while the second part is planned to be released in Diwali of 2027. The music for the film has been composed by world-renowned composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
