MP Yasuda Kumari Baral Questions Government on Squatter Rights and Treatment

Kathmandu. CPN UML MP Yasuda Kumari Baral has questioned the government through parliament whether squatters are people or not. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, MP Baral questioned this while criticizing the government's treatment of squatters. 'Are squatters people or not? Do they have the right to live or not? And does handing them Rs 25,000 and pushing them onto the streets constitute a human rights violation?', Baral's question is. Saying that the tears of the poor are expensive, she questioned whether the shared transport's color was changed to run across the country or if it was just publicized to color the walls of Facebook.
