MP Aren Rai Questions PM Balen Shah's Border Statement

Kathmandu. Labor Culture MP Aren Rai has questioned how Prime Minister Balendra (Balen Shah)'s anti-national statement regarding the border was in the nation's interest. Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, MP Rai said that they did not protest the PM's statement just for the sake of protest.

“Was the Prime Minister's statement in the nation's interest?” Rai asked, adding, “If it was, let it not be removed from the record, and if it was anti-national, let it be removed immediately.” He stated that the country is bigger than the party and demanded an answer in parliament, saying the Prime Minister should not go to Chitwan to give an explanation.

He also said that the suspension of FIFA and ANFA has affected the future of thousands of players and that the government should take initiative for the revocation of the suspension.
