Former Director Manish Bhattarai Testifies on Passport Contract Corruption Case

Kathmandu. Regarding the controversy surrounding the passport contract case, the former director (Information Technology) of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office, Manish Bhattarai, has stated that the contract was awarded in two packages to break the monopoly and reduce costs.

In two separate statements to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), he primarily mentioned that the technical specifications and splitting the contract into two packages would help reduce costs.
