Film Development Board Member Santosh Babu Lohani Provides Financial Aid to Actress Kopila Thapa

Kathmandu. Film Development Board member and spokesperson, and film director Santosh Babu Lohani has provided financial assistance to actress Kopila Thapa, who is undergoing treatment. He has donated the entire allowance received for the inspection of nine Nepali films to Thapa.

Lohani, who is also a member of the film inspection committee, handed over the allowance received from the inspection of nine Nepali films last Asar to Thapa in the presence of Uttam KC, President of the Film Artists Association.

Thapa was seriously injured about three years ago in a road accident while going to visit Neem Karori Baba's Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand, India. Lohani has provided assistance as financial problems increased for the treatment of her long-term treatment after the accident.

Lohani stated that he started this campaign with the idea that people from the same field should help those in need from that field. He has decided to provide the allowance he receives for inspecting Nepali films to film artists facing financial, health, or other problems. In accordance with this decision, the allowance for the first month has been provided for the treatment of artist Thapa.

Artist Thapa is currently undergoing treatment at Angel Health Care Center located in Hattigaunda, Kathmandu.
