Gorakhnath Temple Construction Nears Completion in Gorkha

Gorkha. The construction of Gorakhnath Temple at Ahaladanda in Gorkha Municipality-9 Laxmibazar has reached its final stage with an investment of approximately two crore rupees.

According to Hom Singh Basnyat, Chairman of Gorakhnath Ashram, about 70 percent of the temple construction work has been completed so far. Preparations are underway to complete all construction work by next फागुन (Phagun) and bring the temple into operation.

Chairman Basnyat informed that Gorakhnath's idol will be installed in this temple built in Shikhar style, and worship will be opened after the idol's consecration. According to him, about 417 ropani of land has been received for the temple at Ahaladanda.

According to the comprehensive master plan, preparations are also being made to construct a meditation center, a cowshed for local breeds of cows, a धर्मशाला, and a discourse hall within the temple premises. Chairman Basnyat also stated that a Gurukul is being operated within the temple premises with the support of the Gorakhnath Kalyan Kendra.

Financial assistance for the construction of the temple and other necessary physical structures within the premises has been received from the federal, provincial, and local governments. The ashram has stated that no financial assistance has been received from any non-governmental organizations or individual donors for the temple construction.
