Foreign Minister Khanal Interacts with Nepali Community in Beijing

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who reached Beijing, the capital of China on Sunday at the formal invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, was welcomed by the Nepali Embassy there.

After reaching Beijing, Foreign Minister Khanal participated in a welcome program organized in his honor by the Nepali Embassy and interacted with the Nepali community there.

 At the program, Minister Khanal mentioned that the institutional development of good governance, economic prosperity, and development are the main priorities of the current government, the Nepali Embassy informed.  

He urged the Nepali community in China to actively participate in the campaign of nation-building.

During the visit, Minister Khanal also planted a sapling on the premises of the Nepali Embassy. He took information about the performance and priorities of the embassy from the acting ambassador and other officials.

On the occasion, Minister Khanal directed the embassy to promote Nepal's interests in China and provide effective and easy services to Nepali citizens.

He was welcomed at Beijing airport by Acting Ambassador of Nepal to Beijing Roshan Khanal and officials from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
