Himalaya Airlines to Connect Kathmandu and Shenzhen with Direct Flights

Kathmandu. Airline company Himalaya Airlines, which operates international flights from Nepal, will connect the capital Kathmandu with Shenzhen city, known as China's economic and technological center, through direct air service.

The company has announced that it will launch direct flight services between Kathmandu and Shenzhen from May 21. Under the new flight service, two flights will be operated weekly between Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in China. According to the company, flights from Kathmandu to Shenzhen will be operated every Tuesday and Thursday, while return flights from Shenzhen to Kathmandu will be operated on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Himalaya Airlines has stated that this service is an important step towards expanding Nepal-China air connectivity and has also mentioned plans to add more flights in the future based on passenger demand. Company Vice President Vijay Shrestha said that adding a new destination is a strategic achievement in expanding Himalaya Airlines' international network. He expressed confidence that the Kathmandu-Shenzhen flight will further strengthen the relationship between the citizens of the two countries and help expand opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment.

"Himalaya Airlines has been continuously trying to connect Nepal with various cities in China. The Shenzhen flight will further strengthen the economic and cultural relations between Nepal and China," said Vice President Shrestha.

Shenzhen, known as China's 'Silicon Valley', is considered one of the world's leading centers for technology, manufacturing, and innovation. The new air service is expected to directly benefit business travelers, tourists, students, and investors. Himalaya Airlines has stated its commitment to providing safe, convenient, and quality service to passengers.
