Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Province Parliamentary Party Meeting Discusses Cabinet Reshuffle

Dhangadhi. A meeting of the Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Province Assembly Parliamentary Party is underway to discuss changing ministers. The party's meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah, who is also the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party, at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' office.

Sources have informed that discussions are ongoing in the meeting about recalling the ministers participating in the Sudurpaschim government on behalf of the Nepali Congress and appointing new ones.

Some time ago, some members of the Congress Parliamentary Party had brought a no-confidence motion with the objective of removing Chief Minister Shah. Although Chief Minister Shah saved his government by making the proponents of the no-confidence motion a minority, the problem has not been resolved permanently.

Sources say that Chief Minister Shah has planned to reshuffle the ministers with the aim of ending the internal conflict within Congress and is discussing accordingly in the parliamentary party meeting.

According to sources, Chief Minister Shah has started discussions to include some individuals from the group that previously brought a no-confidence motion against him in the government. Sources have indicated that there is a possibility of recalling the old ministers and recommending new names for ministers from the parliamentary party meeting.
